This cute little wood garden bench is great for any little boy. It's painted blue and they'll feel they have their own big boy table. Crafting with kids is always a joy when you have the final product.

Materials:

  • Patio Paint
    • DCP51 - Cobalt Blue
    • DCP55 - Robin's Egg Blue
  • Americana Brushes
    • DBF2575-B - Flat 3/4"
    • DBF3012-B - Shader #12
  • Palette or foam plate
  • Water container
  • Paper towels
  • Wood garden bench
  • 3/4" painter's tape
  • Fine sandpaper
  • Tack cloth

Steps:

  1. Lightly sand piece to remove any rough spots. Wipe with tack cloth.

  2. Basecoat entire bench Cobalt Blue. Allow to dry thoroughly.

  3. Mask off evenly-spaced stripes on top using painter's tape. (Use photo as a guide.) Paint stripes Robin's Egg Blue. Remove tape immediately.

  4. Mask off and paint front and back sections as shown, following photo as guide.
