Lisa Gonzalez

Lisa GonzalezLisa Gonzalez is an independent crochet and knit designer/artist/devotee . She learned crochet at the age of 11 (i.e many years ago), and began creating her own patterns as a stay-at-home mom. While Lisa is a crochet fiberist by nature, she also enjoys the occasional knitted adventure and takes great pleasure in bringing the two together in a harmony of yarn. She has only recently returned to design, after taking a hiatus to concentrate on her "real" career.

In addition to working with yarn, Lisa is an armchair philosopher. She prides herself on her ability to connect crochet with any topic, no matter how obscure or mundane. While she is the first to admit some of these connections may appear thin she also strives to inject the "chuckle factor" into her writings and has found that many of the thoughts she addresses resonate with her readers.

Lisa lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her two lovely daughters and her cat, Trixie. All three have inspired her crochet designs, her writing, and her joi de vive.

Hi Lisa! I would love to make your crunch stitch potholder but need some pattern clarifications. I have crocheted for years and am embarrassed to say that I don't completely understand the directions. In Step 2 after completing the sc, should I be alternating a HDC and sl st, all the way across the row until the last stitch, a sc? In Step 3, should I be alternating these two stitches the same way? If I follow the instructions according to my interpretation, the pattern is pretty but looks nothing like the photo. Please email me at cherie2770@cox.net. Thank you for your help.

I am so disappointed that Lisa did not appear to answer any of these information requests.

Lisa, Im also trying to figure out where to sew the button on your One Skein Asymmetry Scarf which by the way was a pleasure to crochet and looks fabulous finished! Thanx

Hi Lisa, Where do you sew the button on the one skein asymmetry scarf and where do you button it to? Thank you in advance for your quick response!

Hello, Lisa! I need your assistance, please! I have been trying to make your Crunch Stitch Potholder, but my brain is just not kicking in on the instructions. If you can give me additional assistance on this I would be most appreciative! Thank you!Vic
