Seasonal Dollar Store Centerpiece

By:

Use a simple white basin from the dollar store to create your own Christmas party centerpiece. This is a great way to keep your delicious treats fresh and tasty! This Seasonal Dollar Store Centerpiece from Candace Jedrowicz is whimsical and so easy to make.

Materials:

  • Aleene’s Tacky Dot Rolls
  • Aleene’s Tacky Quick Dry Glue
  • Aleene’s Tacky Tape Runner
  • White basin – 12″ across the top
  • Medium grit sand paper
  • 24 gauge wire
  • Glitter glue – I used clear
  • Narrow garland – 9′ – I used a red rope garland
  • Accent garland – 5′ – I used a plastic bell garland
  • Greens – 8 small pieces – I used glittery green berries
  • Ornament for the top handle – I chose a wire heart

Instructions:

  1. Turn the basin over and sand the outside to a matte finish.

  2. Drill two holes in the center to wire the ornament/handle to the basin. Wrap the wires together on the inside of the basin.

  3. Use a pencil to mark opposite edges, in half first, then quarters, then eighths.

  4. Place two Tacky Dots (one on the edge and one just below it). Attach the accent garland allowing it to drape between attachments.
