Starry Night Stocking

(9 Votes)

Knit this free Christmas stocking pattern from Patons for the dreamer in your family. The stars and swirls make this night sky look like a perfectly dreamy place for Santa and his reindeer to glide through on Christmas Eve.

Twisted Cord: Cut 1 strand of yarn 10 ins [25 cm] long. Hold 1 end and twist other end to the right until strand begins to curl. Fold the 2 ends tog and tie in a knot so it will not unravel. The strands will now twist themselves tog. Adjust length if desired. Sew to stocking.

Did anyone ever find the chart?

Hi there - If you click on the word "Pattern" and then scroll to the second page of the PDF file, you'll see the charts. Thanks - Julia from FaveCrafts

I can't find the chart

I emailed favecraft about the stocking pattern and they emailed back and said we needed to place 1 stitches on the needle. They said they had clarified this in their mistakes column, but hadn't yet clarified it on the free pattern. Hope this helps!

I am like the rest of you, I would like to knit this stocking, but am unable to figure out the chart I pattern. The chart patterns can be found if you click on the word pattern at the beginning.

Wow! Wanted to knit this stocking in the worst way. Cannot make sense out of the chart or the instructions. If anyone has or can obtain the written instructions (no chart) please, please, please pass it on...You can contact me at Crochetzy@gmail.com

I would love to do this pattern, and just like the rest of you, I have not been able to figure it out. Is there anyway of getting in touch with the creator of the pattern?

Has anyone knitted this stocking? It's beautiful and I would like to knit it, but I do not understand the instructions. It says to cast on 6 stitches, but the chart shows 13 stitches in the first row. And the instructions aren't clear about how to get from 6 to 40 stitches. It's very confusing.

Click on the word Pattern just below the materials list and you'll find the charts.

I haven't knitted in many years and am confused. Are there two charts attached to this pattern? If so, could anyone please tell me how to retrieve them. Thanks for your help. Becky
