Snow Flower Christmas Ornament

By:

Create a delicately-colored holiday ornament with a flower motif for a blue and white themed Christmas tree.  This Snow Flower Christmas Ornament is a great winter decoration you can have out all season long.  You can also make this cute ornament as a gift tag or stocking stuffer.  If you'd like, you can also personalize this ornament to make it appropriate for Baby's First Christmas or even a wedding party favor.  No matter how you decorate it, this handmade Christmas ornament is sure to be a gift that's treasured for years.

Snow Flower Christmas Ornament

Materials:

  • Americana Acrylics in Country Blue
  • DuraClear Satin Varnish
  • Snow Writer
  • Water container
  • Palette or plastic plate
  • Paper towels
  • Medium round sponge pouncer
  • Ribbon
  • Ornament stand
  • Stylus
  • Plastic cup
  • Craft stick
  • Round glass ball ornament

 

Instructions:
Let dry between paint applications.

  1. Clean ornament with soapy water, rinse, and dry well.
     
  2. Mix early amounts of Country Blue and DuraClear Varnish in cup. Stir with craft stick until blended well.
     
  3. Place ornament stand over plastic plate. Hang ornament on stand.
     
  4. Pour mix over ornament until completely covered. Allow to drip dry.
     
  5. When dry, use Snow Writer to make flower and dot designs over surface. Let dry.
     
  6. Tie ribbon as desired.
