Christmas Tree Napkin Holder



Turn an old toilet paper roll into this stunning and festive Christmas Tree Napkin Holder.  Great for your holiday entertaining, this napkin holder is easy to make and budget-friendly.  Embellished with rosemary and a bright red bow, this festive recycled Christmas craft is a simple and easy way to bring the holiday spirit into your home.

  • 1 toilet paper roll
  • Piece of thick craft paper, color: red, dimensions: 5.9 inches x 3.9 inches
  • Piece of satin red ribbon
  • Lacy paper design, color: white, dimensions: same as the red craft paper piece 
  • Rosemary (just a bit from the top part only)
  • Small golden stars (stickers)
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Glue



  1. Start by spreading the paper roll out.  To do this, you need to follow the seam and unglue it very carefully using your fingers.

To continue, take your pencil and your ruler and draw a straight line connecting the tops of the opposite corners whose distance from each other is the shortest.  Then, count  0.78 inches from both sides of this first line your drew and draw two more straight lines, as shown in the second picture. All three lines should be parallel to each other.
  3. On the thick red craft paper, trace and cut out a triangle.  Then, take the white lacy paper and cut out another triangle, of the same dimensions as the previous one.
  4. After that, make a fold (upwards) on the two outer lines you’ve drawn before (do not make a fold on the middle one).  Glue corner tops a and c together.  Hold the glued tops with your fingers for a little while, till the glue hardens enough to keep them together.
  5. The red triangle you’ve cut before is for the back side of the Christmas Tree Napkin Holder.  and the lacy triangle is for the front side.  After gluing these triangles in place, wait for the glue to dry. Use your scissors trim both sides, if necessary.

  6. Tie the red ribbon into a bow around the rosemary, forming a small bouquet. Glue it on the front side of the napkin holder (onto the lacy paper).
  7. Add as many stars as you wish and your Christmas Tree Napkin Holder is ready.
