Children Sledding with Snowman

Make this Christmas season a homemade season with all your decorating ideas. Make a winter wonderland with some kids and a snowman sledding down the hill. Acrylics paint the picture.

Materials:

  • Americana Acrylics
    • DAO1 - Snow (Titanium) White
    • DAO46 - Sea Aqua
    • DAO64 - Burnt UmbeDAO67 - Lamp (Ebony) Black
    • DA170 - Santa Red
    • DA113 - Plantation Pine
    • DA168 - Golden Straw
    • DAO78 - Flesh Tone
    • DA196 - Tangelo Orange
    • DA235 - Citron Green
  • Dazzling Metallics
    • DAO70 - Shimmering Silver
  • Americana Spray Sealers
    • DAS13 - Americana Matte Spray
  • Winter Wonderland Kit
    • DASK220 - Americana Winter Wonderland Kit (paints included)
  • Don Mechanic plaster figure of children and snowman on sled

Steps:

  1. Paint as follows: snowman, hat fur, back jacket buttons, and snow, Snow White; faces, Flesh Tone; front hat and back jacket, Hauser Dark Green.
     
  2. Paint front slacks, snowman hat, and back hat, True Blue; paint snowman scarf and sled top, Santa Red.
     
  3. Mix Citron Green and True Blue and paint mixture on front scarf, mittens, and back slacks.
     
  4. Mix Golden Straw and Burnt Umber and paint mixture on shoes and hair.
     
  5. Use Lamp Black on sled runners, snowman eyes, mouth, and buttons.
     
  6. Paint boy's eyes with Burnt Umber and Snow White.
     
  7. Snowman's nose is Tangelo Orange; blush all faces with mix of Flesh Tone and Santa Red.
     
  8. Let all dry completely. Seal with Americana Matte Spray. Let dry.
     
  9. Antique with Lamp Black. Dry brush sled runners with Shimmering Silver.
