Stamped Christmas Card

The holidays will be here before you know it, so prep ahead now and make your own homemade Christmas cards! Instead of creating a simple one, check out this project for a super-easy Stamped Christmas Card. It's an easy christmas craft that will take mere minutes to make, and the stamped art is so cool!

Stamped Christmas Card

  • Old Manila File Folder
  • Red Acrylic Paint
  • Foam Paint Brush or Paint Brush
  • Paper Towel
  • Embossing Powder & Ink
  • Heat Gun
  • Donna Salazar's Lacey Goodness Stamp
  • Donna Salazar Acrylic Stamp Block
  • 2 Diecut Trees from scrap paper
  • "Merry Christmas" Stamp ($1 spot at Michael's a couple years ago)
  • Black Ink
  • 4" x 5.25" piece of White Cardstock for the inside.

  1. Cut the file folder down to 4.25" wide from the fold. Then cut the folder card to 5.5" tall--you should be able to get two 4.25" x 5.5" finished card bases from one file folder. Reserve the scrap for your sentiment.
  2. Stamp the Lacey Goodness stamp on the card front using embossing ink. Sprinkle with embossing powder and heat set.
  3. Once the embossed image cools, paint the entire card (inside and out) with the red paint. It is okay if it is "rustic" -- that is crafty speak for "splotchy".
  4. Rub the embossed image with the other side of the foam brush or with a paper towel to remove some of the paint so the image will show through.
  5. Add the trees to the front of the card.
  6. Stamp a sentiment on a scrap of manila folder and tear one edge. Ink and add to the card using 3D foam adhesive.
