Let It Snow Onesie

The weather outside might be frightful, but your little snow bunny will be snuggled in something delightful! Create this adorable snowman onesie in just a few simple steps using Tulip® One-Step Fashion Dye™, a Tulip® Iron-On Design™ and Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion™. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Let it Snow Onesie

  • Aleene's® Fabric Fusion™ Permanent Dry Cleanable Fabric Adhesive™
  • Tulip® One-Step Fashion Dyes™in Turquoise
  • Tulip® Holiday Products--Snowman
  • Spray bottle
  • Scissors
  • Iron/ironing board
  • Pressing cloth
  • White Rick Rack - 1 yard
  • White long-sleeve onesie
  • Plastic tablecloth

  1. Prewash fabric to remove sizing. Do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets.
  2. Cover work surface with a plastic tablecloth. Lay fabric baby onesie on prepared surface.
  3. Wearing rubber gloves, add water to dye bottle. Replace cap tightly. Shake until dye is dissolved.
  4. Pour the dye into the spray bottle. Spray only the bottom half of baby onesie. Then pour out half the bottle of dye in the sink. Fill sprayer with water again, up to dye line. Spray the middle section of onesie. Once again pour out half of the dye mixture in the bottle into the sink and fill back up with water to fill line. Spray the remaining top section of the onesie.
  5. Cover fabric with a plastic tablecloth. Let sit 4-6 hours. Wash in a large load of water with a small amount of laundry soap. Line dry.
  6. Once the onesie is dry, lay it flat, front-side up on an ironing board.
  7. Refer to photo for placement of the snowman transfer. Following the directions on the back of the packaging, iron transfer into place using the pressing cloth. Peel the clear plastic when it has cooled.
  8. Squeeze a bead line of Aleene’s® Fabric Fusion along the stitching at the end of each sleeve. Press the end of the Rick Rack into the glue. Repeat, for other sleeve, neckline and snap area on the rear. Refer to photo. Let dry.
